Contrary to what most writers say, Susan never wanted to be an author. Honestly, she had no clue what she wanted to do. Since graduating from college, she's been a legal secretary, a preschool teacher, a nanny, an administrative assistant, an accounts payable clerk, and a cake decorator. Oh, and at some point during all that, she married the love of her life and became the mother of three.

One day, just for kicks, Susan started writing a romance story to entertain some friends on a loop. Those same friends encouraged her to write something publishable...and the result was Snowbound, Susan's first full-length novel, which was published by Cobblestone Press in 2006. 

Soon after publication of her first book, Susan attended her the RWA national conference in Atlanta. Wow. Over 2000 people who also wrote romance - people who understood character arcs and POV, and whose eyes didn't roll back in their heads when she started talking about dangling participles and cover art.

Susan had found her element. Since then, she's published another book, Starstruck, also available through Cobblestone Press. She worked as an editor for Cobblestone until recently, when she resigned to have more time for her own writing career.

Susan currently resides North Carolina with her three children, a plethora of pets, and her darling husband, who not only encourages her daily but constantly provides romantic inspiration. (Yes, she's spoiled. So?)

She's currently working on several books in a variety of genres, including a fabulous suspense series with co-author Erica Easley. Keep on eye on the NEWS page for upcoming books!
